Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered occupational therapy evaluations and skilled treatment plans that improve daily function
• Assess physical, cognitive, and functional performance and document clear, measurable goals
• Develop and implement individualized treatment interventions to maximize independence
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure smooth patient transitions
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic strategies and home programs
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation in the medical record and communicate progress to the team
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive workplace culture

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy license in California or eligibility to obtain licensure
• Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program (MS/OTD preferred)
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Comfortable working weekends and maintaining flexibility across a seven-day coverage model
• Travel/contract experience is a plus but not required

Education

• Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADL/IADL assessment and functional treatment planning
• Familiarity with acute, subacute, or rehabilitation settings and common equipment
• Proficient with documentation standards and electronic medical records
• Ability to prioritize caseloads and manage time efficiently
• Strong problem-solving skills and a compassionate approach to patient care
