Location: Hayward, California

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Sunday-Saturday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (includes weekends, 35 hours guaranteed per week)

Hours per Week: 35

Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Implement occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of an OTR
Assist patients with therapeutic activities to improve daily living skills
Document patient progress and adjust interventions as needed
Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and adaptive techniques
Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to ensure coordinated care

Qualifications

Active California Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license
BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing or rehab setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with patients and staff

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of occupational therapy principles and evidence-based practices
Proficiency in patient assessment and treatment documentation
Ability to adapt activities to meet individual patient needs
Team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
