Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage ventilators and optimize mechanical ventilation strategies for critically ill patients in the ICU
• Perform intubation support and provide emergency respiratory interventions when needed
• Conduct thorough lung assessments and monitor respiratory status across all age groups
• Administer aerosolized medications and other respiratory therapies safely and effectively
• Provide rapid, high-quality emergency respiratory care during acute events
• Document patient assessments, treatments, and ventilator changes accurately in the medical record
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary ICU teams to develop and execute patient-centered care plans

Qualifications

• Current Respiratory Therapist credential (CRT or RRT) — state licensure required or eligibility to obtain OK licensure
• ICU experience with ventilator management and emergency respiratory procedures
• Comfortable with intubation support, aerosol medication administration, and lung assessment
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS/PALS preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to work night shifts and function effectively in a fast-paced critical care environment
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Education

• Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in ventilator management and ventilator adjustments for critical patients
• Skilled in airway management and intubation assistance
• Proficient in administering aerosolized medications and performing lung assessments
• Knowledgeable in emergency respiratory care protocols and rapid response workflows
• Familiarity with ICU monitoring, documentation standards, and interdisciplinary collaboration
