Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostic ultrasound exams across abdominal, obstetric, gynecologic, neonatal, pediatric and superficial structures with precision and compassion
• Execute vascular duplex imaging including carotid and extremity duplex studies and segmental pressure testing
• Assist with and perform interventional ultrasound procedures such as aspirations, biopsies, drainages and intraoperative imaging
• Evaluate and document normal and pathological findings, including fetal assessments (1st–3rd trimester), biophysical profiles and placental evaluations
• Provide excellent patient care, including working with pediatric and neonatal patients and supporting families
• Accurately enter images and reports into Fuji Synapse PACS and Meditech EMR, ensuring clear, timely documentation
• Float to other units as needed and respond to call assignments professionally and promptly
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists and clinical teams to ensure high-quality diagnostic services

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in an acute hospital setting
• ARDMS credentials: AB (Abdominal), OB (Obstetrics) and RVT (Vascular Technologist) required
• Active BLS certification — American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Proven experience with interventional ultrasound procedures (aspiration, biopsy, drainage, intraoperative)
• Comfortable working with neonatal and pediatric populations as well as adult patients
• Experience with Canon i700 ultrasound systems preferred
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR and Fuji Synapse PACS is strongly preferred
• Professional bedside manner, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a clinical team

Knowledge & Skills

• Diagnostic ultrasound/sonography across multiple specialties (abdomen, OB/GYN, neonatal, superficial structures)
• Vascular duplex imaging techniques and interpretation
• Interventional ultrasound procedures and sterile technique
• Image management using Fuji Synapse PACS and clinical documentation in Meditech EMR
• Patient care in an acute hospital environment, including floating between units
• Ability to recognize and escalate critical findings to providers in a timely manner
