Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients' functional status and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver evidence-based physical therapy interventions to promote recovery
• Measure and document patient progress and adjust plans to meet goals
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and rehab team members for coordinated care
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques, safety, and home programs
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions and continuity of care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to facility policies and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Current California Physical Therapist license or ability to obtain prior to start
• BLS/CPR certification (current)
• Experience providing physical therapy in an inpatient/rehab setting preferred
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage a varied caseload and prioritize patient needs

Education

• Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT, MPT, or equivalent) as required by state licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment, therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and gait training
• Comfortable with assistive devices, transfers, and mobility training
• Proficient with clinical documentation and electronic medical record systems
• Strong clinical reasoning and goal-oriented treatment planning
• Ability to educate patients and families in a clear, compassionate manner
