Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality patient care as a Licensed Vocational Nurse on the assigned unit
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document according to facility protocols
• Monitor patient condition and communicate changes promptly to the care team
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and care planning to ensure smooth transitions
• Maintain clear, timely charting and comply with regulatory and facility documentation standards
• Support a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment focused on positive patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Active California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license required
• Good attendance required and NO TOR as noted in the job posting
• Experience in medical/behavioral health or correctional/substance abuse settings is a plus
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass facility background and health screenings as required for registry coverage

Education

• Vocational nursing diploma or equivalent completed from an accredited program
• Graduate of an approved LVN program and active LVN license in California

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong medication administration and documentation skills
• Patient assessment and basic clinical evaluation
• Infection control and universal precautions
• Comfort working in a structured treatment facility environment
• Clear communication and teamwork skills with patients and clinical staff
