Surgical Tech - CST
Location: Kearney, Nebraska
Start Date: 05-30-2026
End Date: 08-29-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM start, 8-hour or 10-hour shifts, same schedule week to week with one weeknight call per week until 7:00 AM next morning and three 24-hour weekend call shifts per month
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $50 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Scrub in on a variety of cases including orthopedics, urology, ENT, and neuro procedures
- Independently perform cranial procedures and assist with neuro-trauma call
- Support total joint and orthopedic trauma surgeries with precision and care
- Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia teams in a fast-paced OR environment
- Maintain strict adherence to patient safety protocols and facility policies
- Utilize advanced technology including DaVinci robotics, Mako, Stealth, and Scopis systems
Qualifications
- Current CST certification preferred but not required
- BLS certification required
- Strong orthopedic trauma and total joint experience essential
- Proven ability to scrub independently on cranial procedures
- General OR experience with comfort in a Level II trauma setting
- Willingness to take call and work flexible shifts as needed
Knowledge & Skills
- Expert scrubbing skills across multiple specialties
- Comfortable with neuro-trauma call and cranial procedures
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude in fast-paced environments
- Ability to speak up about patient safety concerns
- Flexibility to float and adapt to changing needs
