Registered Nurse - Cardiac Telemetry
Location: Phoenix, Arizona

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate cardiac telemetry care to patients recovering from MI, CP, and lung transplants
- Monitor and interpret EKGs using Philips monitors to ensure patient safety
- Administer non-titrating drips and manage CPAP and high-flow oxygen therapies
- Collaborate with a dedicated team including charge nurses, PCTs, RT, and pharmacy
- Float to other telemetry units as needed to support hospital-wide patient care
- Complete required SIMs Lab training for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum one year of Level 1 trauma experience preferred
- Strong EKG interpretation skills
- Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam with up to two attempts
- Must have natural hair color and no facial piercings; men must be clean-shaven for fit testing
Knowledge & Skills
- Cardiac stepdown and telemetry monitoring expertise
- Proficient with Cerner EMR and bedside PCs
- Comfortable floating between telemetry units
- Skilled in sterile technique and infection prevention
- Experience with lung transplant, esophagectomy, and ER overflow patients
