Registered Nurse - Oncology Telemetry

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality care to oncology and telemetry patients on a 32-bed unit
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret EKGs using Phillips telemetry equipment
- Administer chemotherapy treatments when certified, supporting patients through their cancer journey
- Collaborate with an oncology resource RN and light-assignment charge nurse to deliver seamless care
- Float to other MedSurg/Telemetry units as needed, broadening your clinical experience
- Maintain strict sterile technique during Foley catheter insertions and central line dressing changes
- Partner with 24/7 respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and SWAT RN teams for optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Chemo certification preferred
- Cerner EMR experience
- Strong EKG interpretation skills
- Ability to pass a pre-employment dysrhythmia exam
- Comfortable working 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratios in an oncology/telemetry setting
Knowledge & Skills
- Oncology and telemetry nursing expertise
- Proficient with Phillips telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation
- Skilled in BiPAP and CPAP management
- Knowledge of sterile field protocols for catheter and central line procedures
- Cerner documentation experience
- Ability to float across MedSurg/Telemetry units with confidence
