Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and develop individualized physical therapy treatment plans that help people get back to what they love
• Provide skilled therapeutic interventions and manual techniques to improve mobility and function
• Document patient progress clearly and timely in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians and rehab team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality care
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, safety and prevention strategies
• Monitor outcomes and modify plans as needed to maximize recovery and satisfaction

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in New Jersey or eligibility to obtain one quickly
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
• Comfortable treating a range of diagnoses in an inpatient/rehab environment
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a patient-centered attitude
• Travel or contract experience is a plus, but enthusiasm and adaptability matter most

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Bachelor's degree in a related field acceptable when paired with appropriate licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapeutic exercise, gait training, balance/vestibular techniques and manual therapy
• Proficient with clinical documentation and basic EMR navigation
• Ability to perform thorough patient evaluations and outcome measurement
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams
• Time management and caseload prioritization in a fast-paced rehab setting
