Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients' functional abilities and daily living needs to create meaningful care plans
• Design and implement occupational therapy interventions that promote independence
• Deliver compassionate, one-on-one therapy sessions using evidence-based approaches
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and optimize outcomes
• Document progress, goals, and discharge plans accurately and on time
• Educate patients and families on strategies and adaptive equipment to support recovery
• Advocate for patient needs and contribute to a positive, patient-centered environment

Qualifications

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required
• Current Washington state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure
• Experience working in occupational therapy settings preferred; new grads who are COTA-certified are welcome to apply
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred
• Ability to work the assigned schedule including weekends as required for the contract
• Clear background check and current immunizations as required by the facility

Education

• Associate degree or completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of ADL/IADL training and adaptive equipment
• Skilled in patient assessment, goal setting, and therapeutic activity planning
• Comfortable with documentation in electronic health records
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt interventions for diverse patient needs and diagnoses
