Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality general ER, ICU and inpatient x-rays during night shifts, ensuring clear images for timely diagnosis
• Operate and troubleshoot Digital Radiography (DR) systems and GE imaging equipment with confidence
• Complete portable x-rays and manage 2 x-ray rooms and 2 portable units as needed
• Support the OR and fluoroscopy cases when assigned or finishing late surgeries
• Collaborate with CT technologists to assist with patient transfers and imaging needs
• Document exams accurately in EPIC and manage images in Synapse Fuji PACS
• Maintain radiation safety practices and ensure proper use of rad badges provided by the agency
• Communicate professionally with patients and the care team to deliver compassionate imaging services

Qualifications

• ARRT (R) certification — must be current
• LRT Kansas licensure (state licensure required) — submit license when applying
• BLS (AHA) current certification
• Minimum ~1 year radiography experience (night/ER experience preferred)
• Comfortable working independently on night shift and handling a variable caseload (5–20 studies/shift)
• OR experience and fluoro exposure are preferred
• Valid driver’s license (radius 60 miles requirement; DL must be submitted)

Education

• Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
• State LRT Kansas licensure
• BLS (AHA) certification
• No BS/BSN required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled with Digital Radiography (DR) and general x-ray techniques
• Experience with portable x-rays and C-arm usage
• Familiarity with EPIC charting system and Synapse Fuji PACS
• Ability to assist with CT transfers and coordinate multi-modality care
• Strong patient-handling and transfer skills
• Able to prioritize and work independently in a fast-paced ED/inpatient environment
• Comfortable with night-shift dynamics, occasional add-on surgeries, weekends and holiday coverage
