Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality Med/Surg nursing care to a diverse patient population during night shifts
• Monitor patient status, recognize changes in condition, and escalate concerns promptly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and float to other departments as needed in rotation
• Administer medications, treatments and interventions safely and accurately
• Document patient care and interventions clearly and timely in the electronic health record
• Support discharge planning and patient education to promote positive outcomes

Qualifications

• Current Washington State RN license or multistate RN license (Nursys verification required)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIHSS certification or demonstrated competency
• Completed approved 6-hour suicide prevention training
• Med/Surg experience and float pool experience preferred
• Team player attitude and willingness to float to other departments
• Availability for night shifts and ability to pick up extra shifts as needed

Education

• Current Washington State RN license or multistate RN license (RN credential required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Experience with Med/Surg nursing practices and protocols
• Familiarity with Meditech or similar electronic health record systems
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to triage, prioritize and manage multiple patients overnight
• Comfortable working in a float pool environment and adapting to different units
