Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, efficient emergency nursing care to patients across acuity levels
• Quickly assess, triage, and initiate evidence-based interventions in urgent situations
• Collaborate with ED physicians, techs, and support staff to coordinate patient flow
• Document assessment findings, interventions, and patient education clearly and promptly
• Administer medications, monitor responses, and escalate concerns when necessary
• Provide compassionate communication with patients and families during stressful moments
• Participate in rapid response and resuscitation efforts as a competent team member

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice or eligible to obtain
• Experience or strong interest in emergency nursing (ER) environments
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
• Demonstrated ability to think quickly, prioritize, and perform under pressure
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork mentality

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and triage skills for undifferentiated patients
• Proficiency with IV therapy, medication administration, and emergency procedures
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
• Ability to manage multiple patients and adapt to shifting priorities
• Calm under pressure, decisive, and patient-centered bedside manner
