Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care and support to residents and patients
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor patient condition and promptly report changes to nursing staff
- Perform accurate and timely documentation of care and vital signs
- Support a safe, clean environment by following infection control practices
- Communicate respectfully with patients, families, and the care team
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (required)
- Active CNA authorization in California or ability to obtain state authorization
- Comfortable working overnight 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM shifts
- Recent hands-on patient care experience preferred
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completed state-approved CNA training program and certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient care fundamentals and safe transfer techniques
- Basic vital sign measurement and documentation skills
- Good communication, teamwork, and time management
- Awareness of infection control and patient safety practices
- Compassionate bedside manner and dignity-focused care
