Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs accurately and promptly
• Support patient mobility and safe transfers with proper body mechanics
• Communicate clearly with nursing staff and document changes in patient condition
• Assist with feeding, hygiene, and comfort measures while preserving dignity
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized patient environment
• Respond professionally and calmly to patient needs during overnight hours

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in the state of employment (required)
• Valid state nursing assistant/healthcare aide license as applicable
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass required health screenings
• Ability to pass background and drug screening as required
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA program and current state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care and infection control practices
• Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with safe transfer techniques and patient mobility assistance
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently on overnight shifts and escalate concerns appropriately
• Teamwork mindset and clear communication with nursing staff
