Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, supporting dignity and independence
- Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Monitor and document residents' conditions, including vital signs and behavior changes
- Support safe mobility and fall-prevention efforts during transfers and ambulation
- Follow care plans and communicate changes or concerns promptly to the nursing team
- Participate in infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe environment
- Build trusting relationships with residents and families, offering emotional support
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification; T-CNA classification listed for this role
- Comfortable working 12+ hour day shifts on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
- Prior experience in long-term care or similar settings is a plus
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and any facility-required health clearances
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtained upon hire if required by facility
- Strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an approved CNA training program and current CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on patient care and assistance with ADLs in a long-term care environment
- Accurate documentation and charting of resident status and care provided
- Basic vital sign measurement and monitoring
- Infection prevention, safety protocols, and safe resident handling
- Clear, compassionate communication with residents, families, and care teams
- Time management and prioritization during busy shifts
