Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the Wayne Center
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document them thoroughly
• Monitor patient status and report changes to the interdisciplinary team promptly
• Assist with activities of daily living while promoting patient dignity and independence
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
• Maintain clear, timely charting and uphold facility policies and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Active LPN license (required)
• Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification is preferred
• Clinical experience as an LPN preferred; new graduates may inquire
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Ability to pass facility credentialing and background checks

Education

• Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program; high school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in medication administration and basic clinical assessments
• Comfortable with documentation in electronic and paper charting systems
• Strong patient-centered care approach and infection control knowledge
• Able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Good teamwork, time management, and critical thinking abilities
