Shift Type: Primarily Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Day shift); includes every other weekend and every other holiday
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, direct nursing care to psychiatric inpatients, championing patient safety and dignity
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop, implement, and document individualized treatment plans
- Maintain a safe therapeutic milieu grounded in trauma-informed recovery principles
- Perform accurate EMR documentation to support continuity of care and clinical decision-making
- Act as charge nurse when assigned—lead the team calmly and confidently
- Float between units as needed to meet patient care demands and support staffing flexibility
- Use de-escalation and restraint-reduction techniques to manage crisis situations safely
- Coach, delegate, and support colleagues to build a strong, empowered team
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Massachusetts (required)
- Minimum 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience (required)
- CPR certification (required)
- BSN preferred
- Experience with psychiatric/substance use inpatient care preferred
- Restraint reduction, de-escalation, and crisis intervention experience preferred
- Comfortable floating between units and able to assume charge nurse responsibilities
- Proficient typing and computer skills to use Electronic Medical Records effectively
Education
- Active RN license in Massachusetts required
- BSN preferred

- Trauma-informed care and the Trauma Informed Recovery model
- Crisis management and behavioral de-escalation techniques
- Behavioral health and substance abuse treatment modalities
- EMR documentation best practices
