Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts). Scheduled coverage includes Friday & Saturday nights every third weekend; Sundays are part of the regular work week with some flexibility available.
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs and translate those assessments into compassionate care
- Develop, implement and evaluate individualized plans of care in partnership with the multidisciplinary team
- Provide clear explanations and instructions to patients and their families to support recovery and independence
- Use nursing clinical judgment to promptly recognize and report changes in patient condition
- Maintain complete, accurate medical record documentation for continuity of care
- Participate in continuing education and core measure responsibilities to uphold high standards of care
- Contribute to a positive workplace by managing conflict with professional communication and teamwork
Qualifications
- Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Experience or comfort working in inpatient rehabilitation nursing
- Comfort and ability to work night shifts and the outlined weekend rotation
- Strong clinical judgment with the ability to recognize and escalate patient changes
- Stroke certification is a plus, but not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and individualized care planning
- Nursing clinical judgment for acute and rehab patients
- Medical record documentation and charting accuracy
- Inpatient rehabilitation practices and neuro/stroke care familiarity
- Professional communication and multidisciplinary team collaboration
- Ability to follow core measures and participate in continuing education
