Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care with dignity and respect
• Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Monitor and document patient condition, reporting changes to nursing staff
• Support safe transfers and positioning to prevent falls and skin issues
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean, safe environment
• Deliver friendly, reassuring communication to patients and families

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfort working overnight shifts and handling typical long-shift responsibilities
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
• Ability to follow facility policies, safety procedures, and documentation practices
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting is a plus

Education

• Completion of an accredited CNA program
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care techniques and infection control
• Skilled in safe patient handling, transfers, and mobility assistance
• Accurate vitals collection and documentation practices
• Ability to observe and report changes in patient condition
• Comfortable working within a multidisciplinary care team
• Good time management and prioritization during busy shifts
