Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform CT and MRI procedures in accordance with clinical protocols to produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment, calling service engineers when needed to minimize downtime
- Practice and promote radiation safety and ALARA standards to protect patients and staff
- Provide clear patient education about procedures and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation
- Maintain accurate patient records in EHR/PACS and ensure proper charge documentation
- Assist with fluoroscopy, C-arm and OR support as required for surgical and interventional procedures
- Assist with clerical duties, phone reception, and patient transportation when needed to keep the clinic running smoothly
- Train, assist, and cross-train imaging staff to build a flexible and capable team
- Manage supply inventory, ordering and stocking to ensure clinical readiness
- Participate in quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and departmental meetings
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- ARRT registration in Radiology (R) with CT and MRI credentials required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within 90 days of hire
- Preferred: Two years prior experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist with CT and MRI
- Preferred cross-training in DEXA and Mammography a plus
- Experience with PACS, RIS, HIS, and EHR systems
- Must be at least 18 years of age (21 for positions requiring driving) and legally authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to pass background check, pre-employment drug screen, and any required health clearances
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
Knowledge & Skills
- Image acquisition for CT and MRI with attention to protocol and image quality
- Equipment operation and independent troubleshooting
- Fluoroscopy, X-ray, and C-arm operation for OR and interventional support
- Strong familiarity with PACS, RIS, HIS, and electronic health record workflows
- Radiation safety practices and ALARA principles
- Patient education, compassionate communication, and excellent bedside manner
- Record keeping, charge capture, and supply inventory management
- Willingness to cross-train into modalities like DEXA and Mammography
