Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist using evidence-based therapeutic procedures
- Apply therapeutic modalities and assistive devices to restore range of motion, strength, coordination, and mobility
- Assess patient progress and document clinical outcomes clearly and promptly
- Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to develop and adjust treatment plans
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safe functional mobility
- Maintain compliance with the California State Practice Act and clinic policies
Qualifications
- Valid California Physical Therapist Assistant license (LPTA) — required
- Graduated from an approved Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Experience delivering direct patient care and therapeutic modalities preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a clinical team
- Professional, compassionate approach to patient-centered care
Education
- Graduated from an approved Physical Therapy Assistant Program
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient care and bedside skills
- Therapeutic procedures and clinical interventions
- Familiarity with therapeutic modalities
- Use of assistive devices and gait training
- Range of motion and muscle strengthening techniques
- Documentation and basic clinical assessment skills
