Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations
• Deliver individual and group psychotherapy tailored to psychiatric populations
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to develop treatment plans
• Document clinical encounters clearly and promptly in the electronic health record
• Participate in treatment team meetings, case reviews, and discharge planning
• Offer crisis intervention and stabilization when needed, keeping patient safety first
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and compassionate care

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) preferred
• Active state psychologist license or ability to obtain licensure in Tennessee
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience working with psychiatric populations
• Experience conducting diagnostic assessments, risk assessments, and writing treatment plans
• Current basic life support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Education

• Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) required/preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in clinical assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based psychotherapy (CBT, DBT, etc.)
• Strong documentation practices and familiarity with electronic health records
• Ability to handle high-acuity and crisis situations with calm and clinical judgment
• Collaborative care approach and effective interdisciplinary communication
• Cultural competence and sensitivity to diverse patient populations
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced clinical environment
