Shift Type: Rotating nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, includes every third weekend with 12 hours of call per 4-week schedule

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, one-to-one labor support during active labor to ensure safe, patient-centered care
- Continuously monitor fetal and maternal status using GE fetal monitors and intervene or escalate when needed
- Assist with vaginal deliveries and support perioperative care for C-sections as part of the multidisciplinary team
- Deliver newborn and postpartum care, including assessment, stabilization, and family education
- Document assessments and care clearly and promptly in the EMR (Meditech/CPN)
- Collaborate with physicians, nursery staff, OB techs, and unit leadership to coordinate seamless patient care
- Educate patients and families about labor, delivery, newborn care, and postpartum recovery
- Maintain infant security procedures and unit dress code standards to promote safety and professionalism
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) - current licensure (required)
- Minimum 2 years of labor & delivery experience (must have)
- Certification: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring (required)
- Experience with LDRP environments and high-volume birth units is a plus
- Familiarity with Meditech and CPN electronic medical records
- Hands-on experience with GE fetal monitors, vaginal deliveries and C-sections
- Ability to work rotating nights and participate in scheduled weekends and call
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong fetal monitoring and interpretation skills
- Expertise in labor support, delivery assistance, and newborn/postpartum assessment
- Proficient documentation in Meditech and CPN
- Comfortable working in high-acuity, fast-paced Maternal Infant Unit settings
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with multidisciplinary staff
- Ability to prioritize and manage 1:1 labor care and postpartum/nursery patient loads
