Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality progressive care nursing for PCU patients with focus and compassion
• Perform thorough patient assessments and continuous monitoring to catch changes early
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update patient care plans
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes clearly and timely
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, care plans, and discharge instructions
• Escalate and communicate clinical changes promptly to ensure patient safety

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of recent nursing experience (PCU or similar progressive care experience preferred)
• Comfort working 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced progressive care environment
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Current basic life support (BLS) certification preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) clinical knowledge and patient monitoring
• Telemetry and cardiac rhythm interpretation experience
• Intravenous (IV) therapy and medication administration skills
• Effective communication and teamwork in multidisciplinary care
• Time management, prioritization, and documentation proficiency
