Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in a fast-paced Emergency Department
- Perform rapid assessments and triage to prioritize patient needs effectively
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, techs and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Document patient assessments, interventions and responses clearly and timely
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition, escalating concerns when necessary
- Maintain a safe environment and adhere to infection control and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of North Carolina (or multistate compact where applicable)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience
- BLS required; ACLS strongly preferred
- Current immunizations and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements
- Strong critical thinking, prioritization and emergency clinical skills
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in rapid patient assessment and triage
- Competent in emergency interventions and medication administration
- Excellent communication and teamwork in high-acuity settings
- Ability to document clearly and efficiently under time pressure
- Familiarity with ED workflows, patient flow management and acute care protocols
