Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patients to diagnose movement dysfunction and develop individualized treatment plans
- Design and implement therapy interventions focused on mobility restoration and functional improvement
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatments as needed, and work toward meaningful outcomes
- Educate patients and families on exercises, wellness, and strategies to prevent re-injury
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and prepare clear reports to support continuity of care
- Collaborate with medical staff and department leadership to ensure coordinated patient care
- Ensure safety compliance and proper maintenance of physical therapy equipment
- Adhere to organizational policies, service standards, and a culture of compassionate care
Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist in the State of Montana (required)
- BLS certification (required)
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program (required)
- Prior experience within the specific scope of practice preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for clear documentation and patient interaction
- Comfortable using computers and standard office equipment for documentation
- Physical ability and manual dexterity to perform clinical duties and use equipment
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of principles, practices, standards, and techniques of physical therapy
- Familiarity with use and maintenance of physical therapy equipment
- Awareness of safety requirements and infection control practices
- Skill in report writing, patient care documentation, and preparing correspondence
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and medical staff
- Comfort operating computer terminals and common office equipment
- Ability to manage a dynamic work environment and adapt to changing patient needs
