Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices
- Coordinate patient care and assist providers and staff with scheduling and follow-up
- Perform and interpret EKGs and monitor cardiac rhythms and arrhythmias
- Administer and manage cardiac medications and related patient treatments
- Serve as the primary liaison between patients, staff and providers to ensure clear communication
- Educate patients and families about cardiac conditions, medications and post-care instructions
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and assist with quality improvement initiatives
- Support pre-employment screening and compliance processes as required
Qualifications
- MT RN Licensure (required)
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Basic coronary class certification or equivalent experience
- At least 2 years of cardiac nursing experience preferred
- Ability to pass standard pre-employment screening (background, drug screening, health/immunizations)
Education
- Graduate of nursing program (RN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of EKGs and cardiac arrhythmias
- Knowledge of cardiac medications and cardiac nursing procedures
- Medical terminology and basic nursing principles and procedures
- Patient coordination and liaison skills to connect patients with providers
- Key boarding skills and basic office skills for smooth clinic operations
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
