Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric and psychological assessments to inform individualized care
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with patients and the care team
• Provide individual and group therapy using appropriate modalities for psychiatric populations
• Perform risk assessments and provide timely crisis intervention when needed
• Document clinical findings and treatment progress accurately in the medical record
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and other team members to ensure coordinated care
• Participate in case conferences and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in psychology or psychiatric settings
• Licensed Psychologist in Tennessee or eligibility for Tennessee licensure (state licensure required)
• Experience working with psychiatric populations and conducting diagnostic assessments
• Strong clinical skills in psychotherapy and crisis management
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team
• Current malpractice coverage or ability to obtain coverage as required by facility

Education

• Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) preferred or equivalent clinical training

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in psychiatric assessment, mental status exams, and diagnostic formulation
• Experience with evidence-based therapies (for example CBT, DBT, or other relevant modalities)
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate clinical documentation
• Strong risk assessment and suicide prevention skills
• Ability to collaborate with medical and behavioral health professionals
• Understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality best practices
