Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Day); every other weekend and one weekday on-call
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and the interdisciplinary team during cardiac catheterization and structural heart procedures with confidence and precision
- Operate and troubleshoot imaging systems (Siemens, GE, Philips) to deliver clear, actionable images
- Prepare and maintain a sterile field and ensure procedural safety for every patient
- Monitor patients closely before, during, and after procedures, responding quickly to changes
- Document procedures and patient care accurately in the EMR (Merge) to ensure continuity of care
- Support clinical trials and advanced structural heart cases by following protocol and maintaining meticulous records
- Educate and reassure patients and families, explaining procedures and providing compassionate care
- Collaborate with radiology and cath lab teams to optimize workflow and patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Texas State RN License or compact RN license required
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a cardiac cath lab or interventional setting
- Experience or comfort working with Siemens, GE, and Philips imaging equipment
- Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically Merge, preferred
- Ability to float to Interventional Radiology and Cath Lab pre/post areas as needed
- Strong teamwork, communication, and patient-focused mindset
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred or equivalent clinical training for allied cath lab roles
Knowledge & Skills
- Thorough knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures and cath lab workflow
- Proficiency with imaging systems (Siemens, GE, Philips) and procedural equipment
- Skilled in sterile technique, patient monitoring, and acute care interventions
- Comfortable supporting structural heart procedures and participating in clinical trials
- Excellent documentation skills in EMR (Merge) and attention to regulatory compliance
- Strong problem-solving, situational awareness, and ability to work in fast-paced environments
