Roles & Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage perioperative patient care as the OR circulator, keeping patient safety front and center
• Prepare and maintain the operating room environment and equipment so the surgical team can focus on care
• Ensure sterile technique and infection control throughout the procedure
• Anticipate surgeon and team needs by delivering instruments, supplies, and support at the right time
• Document perioperative care accurately and communicate handoffs clearly to post-op teams
• Advocate for the patient, providing compassionate support from pre-op through transfer
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain smooth, efficient OR flow

Qualifications

• Peri-Op 101 Certification required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• CNOR preferred
• Proven independence in Urology, Vascular, Orthopedics, Pain management, Spine, Ophthalmology, and Plastics service lines
• Comfortable functioning as the OR circulator and supporting a diverse surgical caseload
• Ability to work variable start/stop times on weekdays

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong perioperative nursing knowledge and OR circulation skills
• Expertise in sterile technique and infection prevention
• Familiarity with surgical instrumentation and workflows across multiple specialties
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for fast-paced surgical environments
• Attention to detail for accurate documentation and patient safety
• Ability to prioritize and anticipate needs during procedures
