Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents and patients
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Take and record vital signs and report any changes promptly to the nursing team
- Support safe patient transfers and mobility assistance
- Document care accurately and maintain clear communication with the care team
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
- Build trusting relationships with residents and communicate with families respectfully
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
- Active New Mexico CNA license or ability to obtain state registration
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Ability to work overnight shifts and adapt to per-diem scheduling
- Pass required background checks, health screenings, and immunization requirements
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completed CNA training program and current certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Practical knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic patient care
- Ability to take and accurately record vital signs
- Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Infection control practices and attention to safety
- Teamwork, time management, and compassionate bedside manner
