Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) to promote comfort and dignity
• Perform safe and accurate patient transfers, positioning, and mobility assistance
• Take and record vital signs, observe changes, and report concerns to the nursing team
• Assist with feeding, hygiene, grooming, and toileting while encouraging patient independence
• Maintain a clean, safe environment following infection control and facility procedures
• Document care and observations accurately in the patient record and communicate effectively with the care team
• Support residents emotionally and socially, building rapport and promoting a positive atmosphere

Qualifications

• Active CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification — required
• Ability to work overnight shifts and adapt to per-diem scheduling
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Comfortable performing physical tasks such as lifting, turning, and assisting patients
• Clear background check and the ability to meet facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing care principles and ADLs
• Skill in taking vital signs and recognizing common changes in patient condition
• Familiarity with infection control practices and safe patient handling
• Solid documentation skills and attention to detail
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a care team
• Ability to follow care plans and directions from nursing staff
