Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on, compassionate patient care and assist with activities of daily living
- Take and record vital signs, input observations accurately, and escalate changes
- Assist with mobility, feeding, bathing, and toileting while promoting patient dignity
- Support admissions, transfers, and safe handoffs to nursing staff
- Maintain clean, safe environments and follow infection control practices
- Document care clearly and collaborate with the care team to meet patient goals
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or state-approved CNA credential
- Training or experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings preferred
- Comfort working overnight shifts and handling typical CNA duties
- Good communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Able to pass facility-required background checks and any state compliance checks
Education
- Completion of a state-approved CNA program or equivalent training; high school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient care fundamentals and safe transfer/mobility techniques
- Monitoring and reporting changes in patient condition
- Basic charting and following care plans
- Infection control and safe use of personal protective equipment
- Time management, teamwork, and compassionate bedside manner
