Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Provide compassionate bedside care and ensure resident comfort and safety
- Accurately document care provided and report changes in resident condition
- Support nursing team with tasks such as feeding, toileting, and transfers
- Follow infection control practices and facility protocols to protect residents
- Communicate respectfully with residents and families to promote dignity and trust
- Contribute to a positive team culture by collaborating with colleagues and leadership
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
- Comfort working overnight/extended shifts as needed
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow care plans
- Willingness to complete facility onboarding (background check, health screen, orientation)
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completion of an approved CNA program (implied by certification requirement)
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic patient care and safety practices
- Observation and timely reporting of resident condition changes
- Comfortable with personal care tasks and mobility assistance
- Good time management and ability to work in a team-focused environment
- Basic documentation skills for charting care activities
