Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
• Monitor residents and promptly report changes in condition to the nursing team
• Assist with safe transfers, ambulation, and mobility support to promote independence
• Accurately document resident care and observations in the charting system
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
• Support emergency response procedures and follow infection prevention protocols

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (Class: CNA) — required
• Comfortable working overnight 12+ hour shifts on a per-diem basis
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently when needed
• Basic documentation skills and ability to follow care plans
• CPR/BLS certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

Education

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (Class: CNA)
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic resident care
• Understanding of infection control and patient safety practices
• Skill in safe patient handling, transfers, and mobility assistance
• Ability to observe, record, and report changes in resident condition
• Teamwork, time management, and effective communication with residents and staff
