Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living like bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team
- Support safe transfers and ambulation while using proper body mechanics
- Maintain clean, comfortable resident environments and follow infection control procedures
- Document care thoroughly and communicate observations clearly during shift handoffs
- Work collaboratively with nurses and the care team to ensure each resident’s needs are met with dignity
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
- Active state registry in New Mexico or ability to transfer/obtain required state credentials
- Previous experience in long-term care or similar patient-care setting is a plus
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass facility background checks, health screenings, and any required immunizations
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient-centered communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient with basic clinical tasks: vital signs, ADL assistance, mobility support
- Accurate documentation and attention to detail
- Knowledge of infection control and patient safety best practices
- Ability to work reliably during overnight shifts and collaborate with night staff
