Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including assistance with activities of daily living
- Monitor and document vital signs and report changes in condition to the nursing team
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe patient handling to promote dignity and safety
- Support mealtime assistance and ensure meal comfort and safety during assisted feedings
- Maintain clean, safe resident environments and follow infection control practices
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Contribute to a positive, resident-centered atmosphere that supports recovery and quality of life
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential
- Comfort and experience working overnight shifts
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well on a team
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
- Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred where applicable
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in basic clinical care: vital signs, ADLs, lifting/transfer assistance
- Knowledge of infection control and resident safety protocols
- Accurate documentation and charting skills
- Compassionate resident-centered care and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow care plans and escalate concerns appropriately
