Shift Type: Night, 3x12-hour nights per week (3 nights/week, specific nights vary), 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (Night). Every-other-weekend coverage required.
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality telemetry nursing care for adult and geriatric patients on a progressive care/surgical step-down unit
- Monitor cardiac rhythms continuously and interpret dysrhythmias to support timely interventions
- Start and maintain IVs, manage central/PICC lines, and administer medications per protocols
- Manage insulin drips and heparin protocols with safe titration and vigilant monitoring
- Respond quickly as part of Rapid Response/Code teams and support emergency interventions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams — pharmacy, respiratory, PT, social work — to coordinate patient-centered care
- Use EPIC for accurate charting, medication administration records, and communication with the care team
- Educate patients and families about post-surgical care, medications, and discharge plans to promote recovery
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience, with telemetry monitoring experience required
- Must be able to pass the facility telemetry test
- BLS certification required and IV certification required
- EPIC experience required for charting and clinical workflows
- ACLS preferred (recommended for advanced cardiac management)
- Comfort with float assignments — may be asked to assist other areas as needed
- Experience with blood product administration, central line and PICC management, and wound care/wound vac is highly valued
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Skilled in IV therapy, IV starts, phlebotomy, and peripheral/central line care
- Familiar with insulin drip titration and heparin protocols
- Experienced with medication administration and lab monitoring
- Strong patient education and communication skills
- Ability to use EPIC effectively for charting and care coordination
- Comfortable with oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, and emergency response workflows
- Knowledge of isolation precautions, wound care including Wound Vac, and post-surgical step-down care
