Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Day (35 hours/week; weekends as needed)

Candidate Pay Rate: $43 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate patients' mobility, strength, balance and functional needs using evidence-based techniques
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to restore function and improve quality of life
- Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions including therapeutic exercise, gait training and manual therapy
- Document patient progress and communicate changes clearly in the medical record
- Collaborate closely with nursing, physicians and rehabilitation team members to coordinate care
- Educate patients and families on home programs, safety and strategies to support recovery
Qualifications
- Current New Jersey Physical Therapist license (required)
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program; DPT preferred
- BLS/CPR certification (or willing to obtain upon hire)
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation and communication skills
- Previous experience in inpatient rehabilitation or similar settings preferred
Education
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred
- Bachelor's or Master's in a related field acceptable where applicable
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in patient assessment, treatment planning and outcome measurement
- Proficient with therapeutic exercise, manual techniques and gait training
- Familiarity with mobility aids, assistive devices and safe patient handling
- Comfortable documenting in electronic medical records and following regulatory standards
- Strong teamwork, time management and patient education abilities
