Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, supporting activities of daily living with dignity and respect
- Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding, and mobility to promote resident comfort and independence
- Monitor and document resident condition, reporting changes to the nursing team promptly
- Help maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control best practices
- Collaborate with nurses and care staff to deliver consistent, person-centered care
- Support social and recreational activities to enhance resident quality of life
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in New Mexico (required)
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtained soon after hire
- Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting is a plus
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of ADLs and basic nursing care practices
- Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
- Comfortable with charting and basic documentation
- Ability to follow care plans and take direction from nursing staff
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
