Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding and mobility to preserve dignity and independence
- Monitor, record and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
- Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect patients and yourself
- Maintain a clean, comfortable and respectful environment for residents
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver excellent care
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (required)
- Completion of an approved CNA training program
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Ability to work overnight/per diem shifts and provide reliable patient care
- Willingness to complete background check, drug screen and required immunizations
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient care skills and comfort assisting with ADLs
- Basic vital signs measurement and documentation skills
- Good communication and teamwork — you’ll coordinate with nurses and families
- Infection control practices and safe handling of equipment
- Compassionate bedside manner and attention to detail
