Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, supporting activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding, and mobility safely and respectfully
• Monitor residents’ condition and promptly report changes to the nursing team
• Accurately document care, vital signs, and observations in the patient record
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Support admissions, transfers, and discharges as directed to ensure smooth transitions
• Communicate effectively with team members and families to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in New Mexico (required)
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and handling physically active tasks
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred (if you have it, bring it!)
• Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
• Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented with strong communication skills

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamental nursing care and ADL assistance
• Basic vital sign measurement and observation skills
• Infection prevention and safe patient handling practices
• Clear documentation and basic charting familiarity
• Strong interpersonal skills and patient-centered approach
• Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy setting
