Shift Type: Per diem (as scheduled), 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM (Night shift)

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents including hygiene, feeding, and mobility assistance
- Monitor and document patients’ condition, reporting changes to the nursing team promptly
- Assist with safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect residents and yourself
- Support individualized care plans and participate in daily caregiving routines
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
- Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Respect resident dignity and privacy while encouraging independence
Qualifications
- Valid CNA certification required (New Mexico preferred)
- Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
- Able to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
- Comfortable working night/overnight shifts and flexible per diem scheduling
- Strong communication skills and a patient, respectful bedside manner
- Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience is a plus but not mandatory
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic clinical skills such as bathing, feeding, toileting, and ambulation assistance
- Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
- Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
- Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
- Teamwork and clear communication with nurses and care staff
- Attention to detail for documentation and care tasks
