Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care to residents, helping with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Assist with mobility and safe transfers while promoting independence and dignity
• Measure and record vital signs and report clinical changes promptly
• Support mealtime and feeding needs while monitoring dietary concerns
• Document care accurately and communicate effectively with nursing staff
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and staff
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care
• Offer emotional support and companionship to residents, making each day better

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Active or eligible for registration/certification in New Mexico preferred
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or acute care is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-centered attitude
• Ability to perform physical tasks typical of resident care (lifting/assisting as needed)
• Willingness to follow facility policies, documentation standards, and safety protocols

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and resident care best practices
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
• Good documentation skills and attention to detail
• Effective teamwork and communication with clinical staff
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong observational skills
