Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and toileting
- Take and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
- Support safe patient transfers and mobility with proper technique
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate clearly with coworkers
- Help create a comfortable, dignified environment for every resident
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (or equivalent) required
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Ability to pass facility background checks and required health screens
- Compassionate attitude, strong communication skills, and a team-player mindset
- Previous patient care experience preferred but new CNAs with the right heart are encouraged to apply
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Current CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs and personal care
- Basic knowledge of infection control and patient safety practices
- Ability to take and accurately record vital signs
- Good observation skills and the ability to report changes promptly
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with residents and the care team
