Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Monitor and document resident condition, reporting changes to the nursing team promptly
- Assist with safe transfers, mobility support, and fall prevention measures
- Support mealtime assistance and follow dietary instructions as required
- Maintain clean, safe patient environments and adhere to infection control practices
- Communicate respectfully with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Contribute to accurate documentation and care plans to help improve resident outcomes
Qualifications
- Active CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification—required
- Comfortable and experienced with overnight/night shift responsibilities
- Strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset
- Ability to complete facility onboarding, including background checks and health screenings as required
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an approved CNA training program and current CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on patient care and basic clinical skills
- Vital signs monitoring and reporting
- Assisting with ADLs: bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting
- Infection control and safe body mechanics
- Clear, compassionate communication with residents and care teams
- Accurate charting and attention to detail
