Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care and assist patients with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team
• Support safe patient transfers, positioning, and mobility
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care and observations
• Follow infection control and facility safety protocols at all times
• Collaborate with nurses and staff to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care
• Create a comforting environment and respond promptly to patient needs

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification; state certification in New Mexico preferred or eligible to obtain
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
• Previous CNA experience in acute care or long-term care is a plus
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required by facility
• Compassionate attitude and commitment to patient dignity and safety

Education

• High school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Vital signs measurement and documentation
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Infection prevention and control practices
• Clear, professional communication with patients and team members
• Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
