Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility safely and respectfully
- Take and record vital signs and report any changes in condition to nursing staff
- Document care accurately and timely to ensure continuity and quality of care
- Support a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
- Collaborate with nurses and the care team to implement care plans and improve outcomes
Qualifications
- Valid CNA certification in New Mexico
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Up-to-date immunizations and health clearance as required by facility
- Compassionate, patient-focused attitude and strong communication skills
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completion of an approved CNA training program and state certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on resident care and ADL assistance
- Vital signs monitoring and basic clinical observations
- Infection control and safe patient handling techniques
- Accurate charting and basic electronic health record familiarity
- Teamwork, time management, and effective communication with residents and families
